About me
In 2014 I qualified as a psychosexual therapist, having completed a COSRT Accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Relationship Therapy (Psychosexual Therapy) through Relate at the University of Hull.
I have worked part-time in an NHS setting since my qualification.
As a psychosexual therapist I work with both couples and individuals, primarily using a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach.
In addition, I have worked as a sexual health adviser for the NHS for over 20 years, discussing and supporting people with sexually transmitted infections, so I bring this bountiful knowledge and experience with me into my psychosexual therapist role.
I am a registered member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and am working towards their accreditation which involves 450 hours of client hours. I have regular supervision with a COSRT registered senior supervisor and keep up to date with developments in psychosexual therapy with regular CPD training.
My qualifications:
- Postgraduate Diploma Relationship Therapy (Psychosexual Therapy). Relate/University of Hull
- MSc Public Health
